Family Sing-Along to 40 Christmas Songs
This is about as unpretentious as a Christmas record can get. Nothing exotic or stylistic here, this is just a set of 40 traditional Christmas favorites, performed by Dav McNamara, Jean Dixon, and Sonny Knowles, among others. According to the publicity materials, this record is quite popular in Ireland. Perhaps because it is a European recording it includes several tracks uncommon on most American Christmas releases. I was unfamiliar with all three songs on the Wind through the Olive Trees, Mistletoe and Wind, Merry Christmas Everyone medley. Also unusual is the fact that all twelve primary tracks are arranged as medleys. You will find all your favorites somewhere on this CD, and if When the Red Red Robin is one of your favorites, you'll find that, too. This is the kind of fun-for-kids record your six-year-old will put in the CD changer and play over and over and over again.
